Let’s be clear: there is no shortage of blogs on the internet. But here I am, launching yet another one. Here’s why:
As an aspiring writer, I have always found blogs dedicated to writing to be both helpful and motivational. I’ve spent many hours scouring the internet for inspiration or solutions to my writing problems, and only very rarely come up empty handed. However, many of these helpful blogs were written by Writers, for Writers. Maybe I was looking in all the wrong places, but I decided we could use a blog written by someone who teaches writing (ahem, I’m talking about myself) and has coached writers one on one for years. And I’m not just talking professional Writers with a capital W. I’m talking people who seriously believe they can’t write to save their lives, college students, immigrants whose first language isn’t English, and yes, advanced writers too.
So, welcome to The Script-less Scribe! This blog is for people who consider themselves writers, people who don’t consider themselves writers, people who just want a passing grade in English class, and anyone who stops by and happens to be a writing nerd.
Whoever you are, I really do hope that you find some helpful stuff in here, and I’ll do my best to keep things from being completely boring. If nothing here seems useful or interesting, you could let me know I suppose. Otherwise, the internet is a big place, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding what you’re looking for somewhere else.
